Over the course of the last century, numerous gate valve design genres have been developed for use in the oil and gas industry. Slab gates, split gates and expanding gates are a few of the designs that have commonly been used to control fluid flow through Christmas trees and flowlines. After a careful review of these existing designs, Cameron engineers have selected the best suited features for development and implementation into our API 6A gate valve product line. This ongoing process of review and refinement has resulted in a collection of some fo the most successful and widely recognized gate valves in the world of pressure control today. The FLS? family of gate valves is one of the most comprehensive line of API 6A gate valves in the industry and includes the highly popular FLS gate valve and the large-bore, high pressure FLS-R? gate valve. With nominal bore sizes from 1-13/16” to 11”, working pressures from 2,000 psi to 30,000 psi, temperature coverage from -75° F to 650° F (-60° C to 345° C), these valves serve a wide range of applications. In addition, Cameron offers the M? gate valve series for low pressure applications.
